Post 9: Changes to my Study Programme

In the curriculum of the Public Administration there are several very interesting subjetcs. I prefer all political science subjects, but they have a deficiency. The subjects of political science are very theoric and lack the practice. This is important because, for example, we all know what historical institucionalism but we dont know how its done. 

In this way, I think that teaching should be accompained by practice, that is, developing skills. But, teachers dont have the time or methodology, because they just evaluate and dont feed. Feedback is what allows  for effective skills development and long-term learning. However, this requires time and personalization of teaching, something that all teachers lack (and is understood).

On the other hand, in my opinion, Its mistake that Public Administration carrer tries to cover all areas of State administration. The mportant thing is to know how to derive, according to the knowledge of political reality. But well, for a reason it will be. 

Finally, as to the duration of the studies: every pregraduate career should last 4 years, but with the obligation to do a master. Thus, let the practice be distributed during pregraduate trainin and allows the development of skills from the first year.  

However, all of this is not going to change until the whole system of education changes because there must be a shift in the paradigm of education. This paradigm shift should stop instructing and developing skills, for this, knowledge is confronted by reality and generates a contribution to professional areas.

Post 8: My opinion

What is your opinion about killing stray dogs to prevent sanitary problems and animal over population?

 

For me, animals are better people than humans, especially the dogs. Dogs are a faithful company. Now, why kill them? animal over population is not their problem, because  the problem is the neglect of people who dont care for them. Stray dogs are the fault of the human who abandons them. For this reason, to prevent sanitary problemas and animal over population is work for the human. And this work is not kill.

 

What is your opinion about legalizing marijuana?

Marijuana trafficking us due to its ban. Cigar and Coke is more dangerous than marijuana and  they're legal. I think marijuana is a natural distractor for recreational moments. However, its forbidden. This leads to drug trafficking and its poor quality. But the legalization of marijuana must be regulated, because it must be a mature choice.

What is your opinion about cloning?

There are many films about cloning and my opinion is based from those movies. Well, cloning can be to extract organs and saving lifes. Howeve, they have rights? Is equal to a person? These questions are hard to answer, because there are no know of human clones, but, I think its best to avoud trying to answer those questions and avoid cloning people.

What is your opinion about legalizing abortion in some cases? 

In my opinion, abortion should be legal in any case, because life is not relative.Valuing one life and another not, is crazy. For this reason, the mother's decision is the main thing and not a law. If the important thing is to privilege life, its better to avoid wars famines. 
 

Post 7: My Best Friend

All days I see the sentence "the friends are life". This phrase I read in a wall in Santiago (near of my house) and always I think "that's right", because the friends are persons that one chooses as a family. They are a good company in all moment of life, even when in stupid moments. The familiy is majestic,  but friends are perfect.

For this reason, I cant say "I have one best friend", because the friends are "family" and a family is maked for many members. In my case, I couldnt choose one but I can mention some.

First, Im from La Serena. Here I met a many friends, but only some few are best friends. The most of my best friends are my neighbour. I met them when I was a child. They names are Fabian, Felipe, Cuello, Juan, Cristian and my brother, Cristian too. My brother is also my best friend. Them and me are "Los Plazas" (ok, the name is old). This name born because we lives surrounding of a square.

Second, I have other best friends. This group  of friends are schoolmate or colleagues in the university. Among them, I could mention Jara, Muerto (funny nickname), Marín, Ober, Camila, Jorge, Pablo and Diego. They are all very funny people and I think they are similar to the first group of my best friends. Finally, I have special best friend: my girlfriend. She and me met in 2010 and since this year that have many good moment and she is a great company.

Well, with all my best friend have the best memories and I feel lucky that I have got to meet them.

So "friends are life"...

Post 6: Postgraduate Studies

The knowledge is a good tool for life, because teach all accumulated experience of humanity and allow to “predict” situations. For this reason, is very important keep studying and learn more about reality. 

In fact, the only reason to keep studying is know about a interesting topic for me, as philosophy, political science or history.  However, all has limit. In this case, the big limit is money and time, because the life is very short and is impossible postpone aspects as family, work and others. And, money: the “engine” of human life. Without money, no one could keep studying or, even, stay alive.  

Well, I hope that all students can keep studying and achieve their dreams, whether in the country or abroad. For me, I would like to study in Chile but in a prestigious university for that the knowledge remain in our country and from Chile work to with other countries, mainly with Latin American countries (Bolivarian dream’s not dead!)

Regarding to how I would like to study? I like a blended system, because are important the classes but also the time. In free time, is possible think and work more efficient. In any case, I prefer a system with in-person classes, because you can meet the teachers and other professionals. This is important for community work and development of social abilities.

Post 5: My future Job

I think that the job is a new slavery system. Before was real slavery, after is a evolution of this, but the new slavery its a soft system, because is more free. However, all system of humanity is a temporal, as is the reality of our life as humans. For this reason, only we can life with hope and enjoyed of moments.

For enjoy of moments in adulthood, I have to job. As I should job, I think: What  kind of job would I like to have? For reply this question, I have for many idea for it. The first, is I prefer a kind of job that I can help to people. But, how I can help to people? The main answer is as a teacher. I studied pedagogy's career in Philosophy and Religion. I worked as a teacher but is different. I felt that I  could not help to people as I 'd like.

So, I needed another way to help people. For this reason, I chose to study Public Administration. Now, what kind of job would I like to have as Public Administrator? I think that I like job in a office, but on social issues, in specific of education topics. I hope to achieve this  and live responsibly with others. 

Post 4: My favorite TV show

Today, I dont watch tv but when I was a child I watched a lot of tv. Ever since, I like the stories and adventures of different characters and different times. Now, I can watch tv series on Netflix, a plataform online with many series and movies, and even documentaries.

In this plataform, I can watch many series and I found some that I prefer. But, my favorite Netflix show is Peaky Blinders: is a British tv serie of historic drama, based on in a gangster family of Birmingham (England). I really like this serie because the characters are very interesting. For example, the main character is Tommy Shelby, an ex soldier of  the first World War who turned into a gangster. The other important characters are Arthur Shelby, John Shelby, Ada Shelby and Polly Gray. The se characters are Shelby Familiy, an important gangster family in Birmingham.

This way, the storyis a drama because the main character has many problems with a police officer (antagonistic character), in addition, Tommy Shelby falls in love with a secret detective (Grace Burgess). Well, I dont talk more because it is a big spoiler.

I like watching this serie because it has a good production and it is a long serie (4 seasons and this year the 5 season is coming). Also, the main character is a  very intelligent and human, person but this is a contrast with his cruelty and criminal acts. In this sense, I recomend the second episodie of season 3, it is a crazy episode and important for main character.

Post 2: the best concert ever

I really love the music. Is a special component in my life, because the music allways have a beat for each moment of life: happyness, sadness and all others. For this reason, I like to assist to event of music, for example: Lollapalooza, local festivals, individual or grupal concerts and, inclusive, electronic music show.

However, my best concert ever was Lollpalooza 2013. This musical festival is in Parque O'higgins, a great place for much people and have a many stage. In 2013, Lollapalooza was for two days and began in the morning until the night. In this way, is a long musical day but in the night is better moment, because the shows are more important. The most important for me was the show of Deadmaus: a famous musical producer and known for makes electronic music.

Deadmaus show was intense because I remember much euphoria for music and lights. My friends and me enjoyed each songs of this artist for two hours. This show was really incredibly and I would like repeat in the future.
